Kaiser introduced the first Wagoneers in November 1962 with classic lines that would endure, mostly
unchanged, until production of the Grand Wagoneer ended with the 1991 year model. Inspired by the
finely crafted woodwork on the classic “Woody” wagons and panel trucks from the thirties and forties,
these “Wallpaper Woodies” utilize artificial wood-grain laminate to replace the costly, labor-intensive
wooden trim and paneling. A small tribute capturing the nostalgia of a lost time. In 1966, the Super
Wagoneer became the first luxury 4-wheel drive in production. The full-size Jeep line also introduced full
time all-wheel drive to the American auto market, preceding the pretentious bling-bling of the now
dominant Escalades, Navigators and Hummers by over twenty years.
Referred to as the “Colorado Cadillac,” the Jeep Wagoneer was an obvious choice for ski resorts and
coach builders to modify and employ as luxury limousines. Even personalities such as Oprah and Ronald
Regan had them! Buck Horn Limousine has four of these rare beauties because you, our friends and
customers, deserve to ride in the finest, classiest 4x4 limousines ever produced. Only 12 Wagoneers
were “stretched” by DaBryan Coachbuilders (Missouri) during the late 1980’s. These sought-after
vehicles were produced under patent by Jerry Morris and Broadway Jeep in Denver, Colorado. Of the 12
original units sold, only 4 are now known to be in service condition. We are proud to have three of these
four in our fleet.
